Nodobe Viewer is an interesting add-on for Firefox, light and free, that lets you see PDF files, among others. The advantage is that it takes up little space on your hard drive, in contrary to Adobe Acrobat, and also works with Windows, Mac and Linux. It has up to 38 different file types for documents and images, including: PDF, DOC, DOCX, RTF, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, PNG, JPG, GIF, TIF, BMP, PPM, XPM, EPS, RAS, TXT, ODT, ODF, OTT, ODG, ODP, STW, SXW, STD, SXD, STI, SXI, SXC, SDA, SDD, SDW, VOR, OTG, STP, ODS and PTS. Nodobe Viewer lets you view documents from Microsoft Office, OpenOffice, images, etc. To do this you have to register on the author`s website. Despite this small inconvenience Nodobe Viewer is a tool worth trying.
